It’s Thanksgiving and before the buzz of cooking and family overtakes the day, I wanted to stop for a moment and express my incredible gratitude…how thankful I am for everyone and everything that has brought me to where I am today.
Four years ago, when Social Tribe opened it’s doors, I had no idea what a ride I was in for. Running my own business has been the most rewarding and challenging experience of my life! The journey is filled with intense highs and the deepest lows. Success hides right around the corner, while burnout awaits in the shadows. It took me a few years to understand the power of gratitude and embrace it, not only as a practice but as an important tool for success. Gratitude keeps me on track. In the face of so many obstacles, fears and insecurities, practicing gratitude is my antidote.
For me, the holidays are always a time of reflection. A moment to exhale, look back and take stock. As I start to think back over 2013, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
I’m so thankful for our wonderful clients, who make us partners in their success and help us grow by recommending us to others – THANK YOU. Really, it’s hard to express how much it means to me (us), your support makes a world of difference and it’s the reason we ‘keep on, keepin’ on’! We are incredibly blessed to work with amazing people who believe in the work we do and make our jobs fun!
As for my team...well, there really are no words. To put it succinctly – there would be no Social Tribe without you. I’m proud to be surrounded by people who care so deeply about the work they do…as well as the experience and how they do it. It’s your integrity, curiosity, creativity and propels us all forward. It’s your encouragement and dedication that pushes me to pick myself back up, dust myself off, and start again. Thank you.
To my family and friends…the people who have dispensed countless pieces of advice, hugs, laughs, tears. I think it’s fair to say that a great part of my strength and determination comes from your support. At times, entrepreneurship can be a lonely journey, thank you for keeping me company and lighting the way.
I’m celebrating today in your honor – we make a great team 🙂
